Body Narrative is a collective of six artists (Pavel Amromin, Jill Foote-Hutton, Magda Gluszek, Tammy Marinuzzi, Keith Smith, and Meghan Sullivan) linked together with a common love of storytelling through the representation of the figure in clay. Although we currently reside in several different geographic regions throughout the United States, each of us has spent time living in the Southeast, drawn there for education, residencies, or teaching opportunities. Several of us overlapped and enjoyed each other's company so much that we knit together this group to foster that connection.

Each of us is inspired by the figure as a vehicle for relaying narratives about the human condition. Despite the common point of departure, our work ranges to include sculptural, functional, interactive, and ephemeral objects. The variety of approaches to technique and aesthetics reflects the different personalities present in our group. That diversity, coupled with a common sense of supportive friendship and investment in each other's success is what drives us. As a collective, we are seeking opportunities to continue to push the boundaries of how we use our common medium, clay, to express the human condition through narrative
